Flow Cytometry Core Facility

The core offers a broad range of flow cytomtric services with the sate of art high-speed sorter, MoFlo. It is able to processing 25,000.00 events per second, and to purifying up to 4 populations at the same time. It also provides 96-well single cell cloning. The MoFlo is equipped with 3 lasers: 488 laser, 457 laser, and 630 laser, and able to analyze up to 7-color simultaneously. All sorts are performed under a sterilized condition. Cells after sorting can be cultured.

The sign up a sorting slot is easy. Go to Yahoo, choose Calendar, type in the user ID: moflohsw542 and the password: sofast. The today’s schedule will show up. To view the monthly schedule, click at the month. Then click at an open slot, type in the name, lab phone#, and the time needed. Please notice; since Dr. Abbas and Dr. Bluestone and PPG found the core, they have the priority to sign-up first. The monthly schedule is open to the public on the 21st each month for all other users to sign-up. The recharge rate is $70 per hour.
